Key Responsibilities

  • Implement effective lithium processing strategies aligned with the organization’s strategic initiatives, providing clear direction and focus.
  • Develop metallurgical engineering systems and processes to track and optimize productivity, standards and performance targets.
  • Coordinate and lead operational process monitoring and improvements guided by best practice hydro-metallurgical lithium processing systems.
  • Design and maintain metallurgical systems and procedures enabling daily, weekly and monthly metallurgical accounting reports and reconciliations.
  • Analyse and interpret processing statistical data for reporting and decision-making.
  • Liaise with Mining and Geology departments to achieve optimum throughput and recovery.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize process control parameters to maximize productivity and metallurgical recoveries.
  • Develop, enforce and maintain effective processing plant operations cost budgets and cost control systems.
  • Provide technical oversight of Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) operations, including site investigations, monitoring activities, water balance and safe deposition in compliance with SOPs.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation.
  • Network and stay up to date with the latest lithium production management best practices and concepts.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 10 years’ experience, with 3 years at managerial level.
  • Qualification: BSc (Hons) Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

  • ISO 45001:2018
  • Skills in budgeting and cost control.
  • Ability to manage spatial complexity across functions and diverse workloads.
