Key Responsibilities
- Implement effective lithium processing strategies aligned with the organization’s strategic initiatives, providing clear direction and focus.
- Develop metallurgical engineering systems and processes to track and optimize productivity, standards and performance targets.
- Coordinate and lead operational process monitoring and improvements guided by best practice hydro-metallurgical lithium processing systems.
- Design and maintain metallurgical systems and procedures enabling daily, weekly and monthly metallurgical accounting reports and reconciliations.
- Analyse and interpret processing statistical data for reporting and decision-making.
- Liaise with Mining and Geology departments to achieve optimum throughput and recovery.
- Continuously monitor and optimize process control parameters to maximize productivity and metallurgical recoveries.
- Develop, enforce and maintain effective processing plant operations cost budgets and cost control systems.
- Provide technical oversight of Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) operations, including site investigations, monitoring activities, water balance and safe deposition in compliance with SOPs.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation.
- Network and stay up to date with the latest lithium production management best practices and concepts.
Requirements
- Experience: At least 10 years’ experience, with 3 years at managerial level.
- Qualification: BSc (Hons) Degree in Metallurgical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
