City of Harare is inviting suitable applicants for vacant positions that have arisen in the Department of Works.
POSITION
Principal Traffic Engineer (1 Position)
GRADE REPORTING TO : 6
CHIEF TRAFFIC & TRANSPORTATION PLANNER
Responsible for the management of Traffic Engineering requirements for traffic systems and supervision of geometric designs of road networks.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Supervises the planning and designing of road traffic engineering systems.
• Forward planning and Traffic management with respect to junction improvement and traffic signals.
• Supervises Billboard allocation and management. Staff development and performance management within the context of IRBM.
Qualifications And Experience
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• A Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is an added advantage.
• 4 years post qualification experience appropriate to the discipline
• Membership to a relevant Institute.
• Clean Class 4 Driver’s licence.
