POST: PRINCIPAL ASSISTANT REGISTRAR – HUMAN RESOURCE
Reports to the Deputy Registrar – Human Resource
The successful candidate will underpin the Deputy Registrar in providing employee resourcing activities directed at the attainment of the University mandate.
Person Specification
Knowledge of HR Systems and databases
In-depth knowledge and application of Zimbabwean Labour Laws a must;
Very good negotiation, coordination and conflict resolution skills;
Ability to act with integrity and professionalism;
Good verbal and written communication skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting the Deputy Registrar in formulating and implementing human capital policies as well as monitoring and reviewing of the same;
Identifying issues required for policy change;
Assisting in ensuring that Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, processes and systems are adhered to by the Human Resource Section in all human capital resourcing activities.
Responsible for collecting information for preparation of work plans and reports and ensures timeous submission of the same to the Deputy Registrar, Human Resource.
Coordination of various HR portfolios managed by the Human Resource Officers.
Ensuring that each Human Resource portfolio establishes and implements the relevant Human Resource metrics and dashboard
Monitoring compliance with University policies and human resource legislation in the day to day activities of the department.
Keeping abreast with trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resource management and employment laws.
Performs other duties as assigned.
