Post Graduate Interns — Monitoring And Evaluation
Location: Harare
Duration of internship: 12 Months
Summary of responsibilities
The role of the Monitoring and Evaluation Intern will be to provide support, advice, and oversight on programme level monitoring, evaluation, learning and accountability. The M & E Intern will track project results on a regular basis and the process must inform reflection and learning processes which will guide future programming.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist the MEAL Officer in the designing of MEAL frameworks for individual projects (Theory of Change, Results Framework, Performance Indicator Tracking Tables, Performance Indicator Tracking Sheets, MEAL plans and budgets).
- Tracking project results and processes as per the project agreements.
- Assist in the designing of data collection tools and their administration.
- Data capturing in the SAYWHAT MEAL system.
- Compilation of progress reports and stones of most significant change.
- Assist in conducting program evaluations (Baselines, Mid Term, End line, etc. as required).
- Representing SAYWHAT MEAL department in various platforms as assigned_
- Assist in conducting Data Quality Audits and Field monitoring visits.
- Providing support to program teams as required.
- Filing of project documents.
- Periodic compilation of key project statistical figures.
- Assist in managing client feedback mechanisms.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, or a development related field.
- Knowledge of public health, child protection and education is an added advantage.
- Excellent computer appreciation skills (MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, SPSSI and any other data analysis
- packages_
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to communicate in English, Shona and Ndebele fluently is an added advantage.
- Good interpersonal skills, including team working and networking skills.
