Job Description
We are a Land Development company seeking to recruit an experienced plumber for an ongoing housing project on a fixed contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a well-established organization to work on a variety of tasks across the site. The role involves but is not limited to sewer pipe laying & fitting, ensuring joints are secure and leak-free, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
LOCATION: HARARE/RUWA/CONCESSION
Duties and Responsibilities
➢ Lay pipes and fittings according to design specifications, and ensure the joints are secure and leak-free.
➢ Position and align fittings as guided by the site surveyor and project engineer.
➢ Ensure compliance with regulations for such work.
➢ Provide a list of plumbing materials required to execute the works.
Qualifications and Experience
➢ Diploma in Plumbing or a certificate in plumbing from a recognized institution.
➢ Trade tested Class one or two plumber.
➢ Proven relevant field experience as a Plumber and/or pipe layer of at least 4years
➢ Detailed knowledge of relevant regulations in construction and pipe laying and fitting techniques.
➢ Knowledge of sewer and water reticulation systems for housing developments is required.
➢ Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work with minimum supervision and in collaboration with project engineers and site agents.
➢ Must be honest and a team player with sound communication &interpersonal skills
➢ A proactive approach to problem-solving on-site
