Job Title: Plant Production Clerk
Role Purpose:
The Plant Production Clerk will be responsible for accurately recording, monitoring and reporting production and inventory data to support efficient plant operations, internal controls, and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain daily production data, including output, downtime, and material usage.
- Assist in scheduling production runs and monitoring workflow to ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Investigate and resolve production or inventory discrepancies, escalating material issues to the Finance Manager.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls across production and inventory processes.
- Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, or monthly production reports to supervisors and management.
- File and organize production-related documents to support easy retrieval and audit readiness.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date filing systems (both physical and electronic).
- Provide administrative support to plant supervisors and managers as required.
- Participate in delegated projects and process-improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- A Higher Diploma (HND)/Degree in Accounting.
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in accounting or production/inventory control.
- Exposure to ERP or production systems preferred.
- Clean class 4 driver’s license.
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
