MUTOKO RURAL DISTRICT COUNCIL
PLANNING CLERK (Grade 6)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced, self-motivated, and task-oriented individuals to fill the above position that has arisen within the Mutoko Rural District Council.
The incumbent shall be reporting to the District Planner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Prepare and update plans, maps, and other graphic materials to support planning applications and decisions.

Manage and maintain spatial data, including Geographic Information System (GIS) and mapping databases.

Assist in the processing of planning applications, including validation, registration, and acknowledgements.

Conduct site inspections, including validation, to gather information and verify compliance with planning regulations.

Prepare reports and analyze data to support planning decisions.
-
Communicate with stakeholders, including applicants and members of the public, for guidance and support on planning matters.

Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
-
Degree in Urban Planning or equivalent.
-
At least 2 years of experience in the planning environment.
-
Experience with planning software is an added advantage.
-
At least 25 years old and mature.
-
Local government experience is an added advantage.
-
A clean criminal record.
