JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for administering outdoor advertising, parking vehicular requirements and operations, research and development of parking and transportation issues, road and infrastructure planning and designing.
KEY RESULT AREAS
* Supervise research on traffic and transportation issues.
* Implement traffic control measures.
* Administer outdoor advertising.
* Supervise billboards inventory, identification and removal of illegal billboards.
* Deal with parking requirements and operations.
* Supervise and monitor public transport.
* Liaise with public transport operators and their need.
* Facilitate the provision of adequate public transport services.
* Identify and design suitable traffic calming measures.
* Prepares Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP).
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* A Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning or related field.
* Minimum three (3) years post qualification experience appropriate to the discipline.
* Membership to a relevant Institution.
* Clean Class 4 Driver’s licence.
