Job Summary
The above position which reports to the Operations Manager has arisen in our organisation and applications are invited from interested and suitably qualified persons.
Duties And Responsibilities
Developing operation process to support mine planning, ore quality, and grade control programs as well as production forecasting.
Monitoring and evaluation of production targets.
Reviewing progress and cost tracking reports and make corrections to execute as required.
Implementation of maintenance strategies and programs.
Directing staff activities and monitor their performance.
Producing detailed mining and processing reports to various stakeholders.
Managing explosives handling and their safe keeping.
Qualifications And Experience
> A Degree or Diploma that majors in Mining Engineering from a recognized institution.
>A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
> Knowledge in opencast pit development and mining is essential.
> Knowledge of SHEQ management standards is a distinct advantage. Clean class 4 driver’s licence.
>A full Blasting Licence is a must
>Strong character with exceptional leadership skills.
