POSITION : PHARMACIST (1POSITION)
GRADE : 5
LOCATION : BEATRICE ROAD INFECTIOUS DISEASES HOSPITAL
REPORTS TO : HEAD PHARMACEUTICAL SERVICES
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for pharmaceutical supply chain management.
KEY RESULT AREAS
➢ Assists the Head Pharmaceutical Services in the day to day running of the medical stores.
➢ Supervision of Pharmacy Technicians in stock management and distribution of stock items to Muncipal Health Institutions and other public health institutions.
➢ Responsible for ordering medicines, vaccines, medical sundries and equipment from Natpharm and private suppliers in liason with the Head Pharmaceutical Services.
➢ Issues medical equipment/instruments and dangerous drugs.
➢ Support and supervision to cadres at Municipal Health Institutions.
➢ Supervises and ensure the safe preparation of pharmaceutical products in accordance to established standards
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
➢ Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree
➢ Be registered with Pharmacist Council of Zimbabwe
➢ Current Practising Certificate
➢ 3-5 years post qualification experience.
➢ Clean class 4 drivers’ licence a must
➢ ‘5’ GCE O’ Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject
