Pensions Fund Manager

Suitably qualified candidates are invited to fill the above vacant post at UCPF (senior management post)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Strategy formulation and ensure implementation of the same
•  Open up new investment portfolios
• Responsible for day to day management of the fund
• Sitting in all board and committee meetings
• To advise board members on policy issues and ensure compliance
• Implementation of board resolutions and policies
• Ensure efficient provision of all fund stakeholders
• Ensure that the fund has suitable and competent Human Resources team
• Ensure that there are sound relations between the fund and Stakeholders
• Supervision and control of the activities of the Funds
• Ensure compliance to current and relevant statutes and regulatory frameworks
• Supervision and coordination of all employees and Officers
• Ensure maximum returns are received from investments, for the benefit of contributing members and stakeholders.
  Ensure proper financial management of the fund.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Investment or related or similar field of study
• Master’s degree in a related field is an added advantage
• A diploma in insurance, C.O.P (IIZ) or related field
• Must be a member of recognised professional institute, CIS, ACCA, IMM or related field
• The incumbent should demonstrate thorough understanding of pension administration
• Proffer ability to provide solutions to challenges
• An experience in pension and or financial management
• A minimum of five years’ experience working in middle or top management position in the pension industry
• The incumbent must have a proven and traceable track record.
• Must be at least 35 years old
