Our client in motor industry is looking for Parts Assistant to join their dynamic team. At least minimum of 3+ years in the motor industry or automotive industry preferred. The incumbent will be responsible to ensure the efficient picking, binning, reordering and stock take of parts. To correctly identify parts using the EPC and restock levels. Receive parts enquiries from workshops and over the counter customers. Receive job cards from technicians, identify parts required off the EPC system. Check SAGE Evolution for available parts, pick and allocate available parts. Pack the goods into appropriate cartons, boxes, plastic bags using the correct packing material. Write out part numbers onto job cards at the time of allocation.
Duties And Responsibilities
Complete hand written parts requirement list if not available ex stock. If parts are locally available, Parts Assistant to obtain quotes to be authorized by Parts Manager. Parts not available locally to be given to Parts Administrator / Parts Manager who will source parts. Physically check supplier invoices against purchase orders (generated by Parts Administrator), to be signed as confirmation that all is in order. Work with Parts Manager to ensure correct stock levels are maintained. Be responsible for the security of the parts. Rolling stock takes will be required on a bi-weekly basis. Full stock take will be done twice a year at the discretion of the Parts Manager. You will be required to complete Training as prescribed. Good communication skills, Competent working with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Outlook. Added advantage if they have used Sage or a similar accounting package or relevant inventory management package.
