Introduction
Women’s Coalition of Zimbabwe (WCoZ) is a national membership-based network of women’s rights organizations and individual women’s rights activists with a mandate to create a focal point for activism on women and girl’s rights. WCoZ is working on an intervention aimed at increasing the influence and capacity of women and youth in acting collectively, through formal and informal groups, for more democratic and accountable governance at every level of society. Through the intervention, WCoZ seeks to ensure effective implementation of its five-year Organisational Strategic Plan which prioritizes capacity development of its members and secretariat in the area of partnerships and collaboration.
Tasks under this consultancy
WCoZ is looking for a consultant to assist in developing a strategy, policy and train WCoZ secretariat, Board and Members on partnerships and collaborations.
Methodology
In carrying out this work, the Consultant will be expected to train WCoZ Board, Members and Secretariat on partnership strategies for collaborations, platforms and opportunities, and conduct a mapping exercise to help develop a partnership strategy and policy. The Consultant will prepare and conduct capacity strengthening training workshops for the WCoZ Board, members and secretariat, on partnership strategies.
Key Deliverables
Mapping exercise to identify WCoZ key and potential partners; Training Materials for partnership strategies; Conducting training workshop on collaborations and partnerships; Prepare a draft report of the training workshop; Submit a complete final report three days after the training; Develop a partnership strategy and policy for WCoZ.
Duration
The assignment must be completed by 20 July 2021
Expected Qualifications, experience of the Consultant
Advanced university degree in Social Science Studies, Law, Gender Studies or related field; At least 10 years’ relevant experience in the field; Strong analytical, strategic thinking and planning skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
