Job Description
Under the direction of the Panel Beater Chargehand the Panel beater shall be responsible for the complete panel beating, repair and rebuilding of all damaged heavy and light vehicles. This shall be accomplished through performing routine repairs, welding and rebuilds following written procedures while adhering to company safety and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Panel beat and repair all accident damaged vehicles.
• Panel beat and undertake repair of chasis and body work on all damaged vehicles.
• Rebuild accident damaged vehicles and welding of body components.
• Ensure all panel beating and other equipment is fully utilised.
• Ensure sufficient tools for jobs are at hand and that these tools are kept securely.
• Undertake all tasks delegated by the Chargehand.
• Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• National Certificate in Panel Beating.
• Journeyman Class one.
• A team player with good communication skills.
• Ability to operate mechanical, hydraulic, and metalworking equipment.
• At least 5 years’ experience in the same position.
• A clean Class 4 drivers’ licence.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision.
