DUTIES
Surface preparation by filling holes cracks and applying paint, stain, varnish and other
Ability to use brushes, rollers and spraying equipment.
Knowledge in glazing.
Removing old paint by wallpapering or scraping or sanding or heat guns or liquid
paint removers or steam strippers.
Mixing paint to agreed shades.
Perform physically demanding tasks.
Laying dust sheets to protect areas from paint.
Performing departmental duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing
reports and ordering supplies and equipment.
Preparing cost estimate.
REQUIREMENTS
Five (5) Ordinary Level passes including English Language.
National Certificate in Painting or Decoration from HEXCO/Equivalent.
Journeyman Class 1, 4 years apprentice trained.
Experience and Qualities
At least three (3) years post qualification experience.
Good communication skills.
Computer literacy.
Multi-tasking skills
Good arithmetical and analytical skills.
Observant and thorough.
Problem solver.
Physical dexterity.
