Takura Trust is recruiting for a Packhouse Production Supervisor
Duties
1. Ensure the following tasks are completed according to the requirements:
· Grading, sorting, and packing of produce
· Packaging of produce for shipment or further processing.
· Weighing of produce
· Measuring quality and physical characteristics of vegetables or fruits
· Labelling for identification.
2. Supervise daily production
3. Record incoming produce
4. Ensure all batches are traceable
5. Meet daily, and shipping plan targets
6. Coordinate with Quality Supervisor for the smooth running of operations
7. Keep inventory and stock records up to date
8. Keep daily production records
Required Skills
· Ability to learn food safety and Globalg.a.p. principles that apply to their scope
· Strong leadership skills
· Should be able to plan an solve problems
· Ability to record and compile daily production activities
· Ability to lead , supervise and assign duties to subordinates
· Self-motivated
· Ability to motivate, coach and correct staff
· Hardworking
· Multitasking
Qualifications and Experience
· Certificate in Agriculture/Food Science or related
· Farm Production experience
· Computer literacy
