OPERATIONS MANAGER – LAGERS BUSINESS UNIT

 

 

Delta Beverages is the name behind Lagers, Sparkling Beverages, Maheu and Sorghum Beer manufacturing, marketing and distribution in Zimbabwe. An exciting opportunity has arisen, and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above position that has arisen in the Lagers Business Unit.

 

 

The Job

 

Reporting to the Operations Executive, the successful applicant will be, among other key duties, be responsible for:

 

 

• Overseeing end-to-end warehouse and distribution operations across Delta Beverages Centres (DBCs).

• Developing, executing annual operating budgets and ensuring expenditure is within budget.

• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimise operational efficiency.

• Leading, developing and motivating staff to ensure key result areas are achieved.

• Fostering a culture of safety, quality, and customer service excellence.

• Monitoring and reporting on Daily Performance Indicators (DPIs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Maintaining optimal inventory levels while minimizing waste and obsolescence.

• Ensuring full product availability on time.

• Ensuring customer orders are delivered as planned on time and in full.

 

 

Person Specifications/profile

 

 

• A Business Degree in Business Administration/Economics/Logistics or equivalent.

• A Professional qualification such as CILT would be an added advantage.

• At least 3 years’ experience in Distribution and Logistics in the FMCG sector.

• Strong level of Commercial competence.

• Knowledge of ERP ERP system.

• Clean Class 4 Drivers Licence.

• Working knowledge of Safety, Health, Environment, Quality and manufacturing systems.
