Simuka Africa Youth Association is recruiting Online Volunteers – 42 Posts! Simuka Africa Youth Association is inviting applications for 42 online volunteer assignments supporting SDG 2, SDG 3 and SDG 5 initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create articles, graphics, art, short fiction and poetry.
  • Develop content for Match-A-Meal and Holiday Campaigns.
  • Assist with small administrative filing tasks for Open Calls.
  • Create artwork, graphics and video for social media.
  • Develop short videos for the Simuka Africa Youth Association YouTube channel and Instagram Reels.
  • Support mental health arts advocacy.
  • Promote self-care, art therapy and the benefits of art for child development.
  • Support donation campaigns to expand SimukaAfrica.org’s reach.
  • Submit art based on Art Therapy Open Call themes where appropriate.
  • Support female outreach and empowerment initiatives.

Requirements

  • Creative experience, degrees and/or portfolios in any field of the Arts and Art History.
  • Professional experience supervising youth-led and/or creative communities, groups and programs.
  • A degree and/or background in Psychology, Mental Health, Art Therapy, Social Work, Social Science and Education.
  • Experience regarding fundraising, grant writing, publicity, public relations and online campaigns.
  • Effective administrative protocol, social media management and public relations experience.
  • Mandatory experience in social media campaigns, including graphic design experience with Canva, Adobe and similar programs.
  • Backgrounds in literature, creative writing, editing and publishing, including .epub and/or Kindle formatting.
  • Candidates from any field who would like to renew their connection to the Arts.
