Key Responsibilities:-
⦁ Carrying out analysis for conformity to specifications (chemical, destructive and nondestructive).
⦁ Interpreting results of diverse analysis and submitting the technical report to Industrial Chemist.
⦁ Assessing samples for analysis and preparing standards.
⦁ Training students from Technical colleges and universities whenever they are attached to the Laboratory.
⦁ Recommending suitable technical solutions to plant processes.
⦁ Traveling to inspect, test and remedy problems relating to the analytical laboratories within the system.
⦁ Recommending to Industrial Chemist equipment to be purchased (in keeping with newer technologies) and equipment to be replaced due to obsolescence.
Applicants for the post must:
-a) Have at least five GCE “O” levels passes at grade C or better including English Language, Mathematics and a Science subject.
⦁ Be a qualified Laboratory technician
⦁ Be able to work with minimum supervision
⦁ Have working knowledge of both Analytical Laboratory and Industrial Metallurgy.
