Pursuant to resourcing its expansion projects, ZCDC seeks applications from qualified, experienced and self-driven candidates to be considered for the following position that has arisen within the organisation:

1. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE

Reporting to the Occupational Health Officer, the job is based at the Mine and is responsible for the following:

Summary of Duties:

• Overseeing and managing the administrative and operational activities of occupational health services.
• Management of mine clinic primary health care.
• Developing and implementation of sound workplace occupational health management programs.
• Evaluating and treating all injuries and illnesses in an efficient and professional manner within the scope of practice ensuring consistency with clinical nursing guidelines.
• Maintaining reports and employees’ medical files.
• Management of the Covid-19 Pandemic in line with Ministry of Health Protocol.
• Identifying primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention and health promotion strategies to optimize health of the employees.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to clinical operations.
• Knowledge of IS014001:2015,9001:2015 and 45001:2018.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in General Nursing.
• Registration with Nurses’ Council of Zimbabwe.
• Valid practising licence.
• Minimum of two years’ experience working in a mineral industrial clinic.
• OSHEMAC or NEBOSH Certificate is an added advantage.
