Applications are invited from suitably qualified, mature and experienced persons to fill the following post, which has fallen vacant at Nyanga Rural District Council.
1. Reporting to the Head of Finance Dept.
2. The jobholder will be responsible for the following duties:
(i) Maintaining the Council’s IT system across the organization.
(ii) Maintaining the Council’s web site.
(iii) Creating and maintaining the Council’s databases.
(iv) Maintaining the Council’s computerized billing system.
(v) Updating the Council’s debtors’ records.
(vi) Any other duties assigned by the Head of Dept.
3. The ideal candidate must be mature and have good communication skills with both workmates and clients.
He/She must also be able to work under pressure with little or no Supervision.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- A Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Information Technology from a recognized institution is a must.
- Must have at least 5 ‘0’ Level passes including English Language and Mathematics.
- A Bachelor of Technology in IT degree from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
- Have at least 2 years of working experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of local authorities’ systems will be an added advantage.
