NATIONAL EMPLOYMENT COUNCIL FOR ZIMRA UNDERTAKING VACANCY NOTICE The National Employment Council for ZIMRA Undertaking (NEC) Board invites qualified and experienced Zimbabwean citizens to fill the position of NEC Independent Chairperson. Reporting Structure The position reports to the NEC Board.
Key Functions of NEC – Chairperson Chair all meetings of the Board and Committees in terms of the NEC Constitution. – Ensure that all meetings are conducted efficiently and effectively. – Call special meetings, if necessary. – Facilitate full and candid Board discussions, ensure Councillors express their views on key Board matters and assist the Board in achieving a consensus. – Develop teamwork and a cohesive Board Culture and facilitate formal and informal communication with Councillors. – Help ensure that action items established by the Board are tracked and appropriate follow-up action is taken when necessary. – Act as the main link between the Board and the General Secretary.

- Job Application Details Work/Educational Requirements Qualifications and Experience – Law Degree or Social Science or Business Degree. Chairmanship experience. – Master's Degree an added advantage. – At least two years chairmanship experience in an NEC setting, or 2 years' experience as Councillor in an NEC or 5 years' experience as NEC General Secretary.
