VACANCY: MUNICIPAL POLICE CONSTABLES: 20 POSTS

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced people to fill the above post that has arisen in the Chamber Secretary Department.

Job Title : Municipal Police Constable
Salary Grade : 5
Reports To : Sergeant

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1. 5 O Levels including English language and maths
   2. At least two years working experience in security with a reputable company
   3. ZRP,ZPCS or Army experience is a distinct advantage
   4. No criminal record
   5. Must be 30 years and below

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Safeguard Council premises and property
   2. Enforcing Council by-laws and Acts
   3. Traffic control
   4. Arresting illegal vendors and destroying squatter camps
   5. Collect revenue at boom gate and burial fees during weekends or holidays
   6. Carrying out intensive patrols in the commonage
   7. Follow up licences for bicycles, commuters, dogs, taxis etc
   8. Arrest anyone who commits any offence and attending court sessions as witnesses
   9. Any other duties as assigned
