CTDO is a non-profit making NGO seeking the services of competent personnel under the ‘Multisectoral Approach towards Nutrition Adaptation (MANA)’ project. CTDO promotes improved agro-biodiversity and environmental management, food and nutrition security, water and sanitation, policy and advocacy programmes to promote sustainable livelihoods. Terms of reference
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer is responsible for the day to day monitoring of project progress ensuring that set standards are adhered to. The officer is also responsible for the administering of surveys in a timely and accurate manner ensuring that survey results feed into the CTDO planning systems.
In close collaboration with the District Coordinators, the M&E officer ensures the preparation, production and submission to head office, well researched, documented and presented weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports in line with agreed procedures and dates which meet the requirements and standards of CTDO and its Donors; Ensures regular monitoring and performance of the project at district and community level and provide information and advice to head office and communities that will also lead to the community livelihood improvement; Coordinate the administering of surveys as required by CTDO and its donors ensuring accurate information is gathered and submitted timeously; Report on all M&E issues at district level. Report indicators and targets (achieved and lagging behind) at district level; Participate in meetings and workshops at national, district and community level on topics related to project activities; Responsible for collecting and documenting significant change and success stories; Perform any other duties as assigned by the District Coordinator and/or management at CTDO national office.
Qualifications and experience
A Bachelor’s degree in M&E, Social Science, Demography, Statistics, Public Health or related field; Minimum three years’ experience in the NGO sector; Knowledgeable in quantitative and qualitative data analysis; Knowledgeable in the use of statistical analysis packages (e.g. SPSS); Fluency in English, Ndebele and Shona; Clean class 4 driver’s license.
