VACANCY NOTICE MONITORING AND EVALUATION OFFICER
The Position
The position of Monitoring and Evaluation Officer has arisen within the Forestry Commission. The position is based at Head Office in Harare under the Projects Management, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit and shall be in charge of designing, implementing, reviewing, reporting and operating of the M&E Management Systems of the Forestry Commission.
Duties And Responsibilities
Key Results Areas
• Leads in the designing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation framework of Projects/work programs to track delivery and outputs against targets, goals and objectives.
• Leads in the planning and coordination of the adopted projects through a consultative process of specific tasks, activities and objectives that must be completed as per set targets and timeframes.
• Leads in the collection of data and analysis under the monitoring and evaluation framework for the assessment of progress against set targets and objectives while demonstrating abilities in the assessment techniques and analytical skills.
• Provision of regular updated technical reports on the status of progress and implementation while in charge of Performance Monitoring Plans (PMPs) and provision of support in performance evaluation processes.
• Ensures accurate collection of data throughout projects/programs implementation stages, refining data collection tools and surveys, data quality assessment, reporting and interpretation.
Qualifications And Experience
Qualifications/ Person Specification
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications and attributes:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Projects Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Business economics or equivalent qualification.
• The ideal Candidate must have the ability to interact with field Staff and Management and is expected to uphold high levels of integrity and confidentiality. This is a senior position that requires a mature person who shall demonstrate high levels of work experience at Projects Management and monitoring and evaluation level.
• Five years of relevant work experience in Projects/Work designing, implementation, monitoring, review, reporting and evaluation shall be a distinct advantage.
• A clean class 4 driver’s license.
