Intrachem (Pvt) Ltd is seeking an MMU Operator (Mobile Manufacturing Unit Operator). The MMU Operator will be responsible for operating the MMU and performing charging and related tasks at mine sites in the most cost-efficient and effective manner, in alignment with SHES and ISO standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Explosive charging operations or down the hole services that is priming and pumping of emulsion.
- Receiving emulsion into site storage facility and loading into the MMU practicing FIFO.
- Ensuring high quality of explosives being pumped into blast holes.
- Conduct quality checks prior to charging, during charging and after charging and addressing non-conformities to ensure high quality explosives are being pumped into blast holes.
- Responsible for MMU offloading and loading bays and site emulsion storage facility good housekeeping.
- Adherence to all site specific and national safety regulations during charging operations.
- Conduct pre-operational checks to ensure equipment is functioning safely and complies with legal standards.
- Prevent spills and contamination during the loading, mixing, and placement of explosives.
- Ensure waste materials are disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations and the companies organisational process assets (e.g. procedures).
- Conduct daily, weekly and monthly checklists procedures e.g. daily pump log sheets, MMU checklist.
Requirements
- Mine Blasting License
- Clean Class 2 Driver’s Licence or better
- Heavy-duty truck driving experience
- At least 1 year of work experience in a similar field
- Working knowledge of safety standards
