Our client in the mining industry is looking to hire a Mining Manager. The incumbent shall play a pivotal role in executing the mine’s strategic objectives in alignment with the company’s long-term vision. This position is responsible for driving operational excellence, safety, cost control, and profitability across underground mining and development operations. The role ensures optimal resource allocation, infrastructure adequacy, and continuous improvement in mining practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties And Responsibilities:

• Manage all mining sections to meet waste and ore throughput targets safely and at correct grades.
• Oversee underground and development operations to ensure production and development goals are achieved.
• Align workforce planning with business size, budget, and mine plan requirements.
• Develop and enforce daily, monthly, and annual operational execution plans.
• Ensure efficient allocation of mining resources, measured by schedule compliance.
• Champion cost-reduction initiatives through continuous improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with Mining and Technical Services to boost production planning and optimization.
• Assess and budget for mining infrastructure improvements.
• Enforce daily inspections and operational compliance to ensure quality and standards, procedures, and legislation.
• Ensure full compliance with ISO management systems: ISO 14001 (EMS), ISO 45001 (OHSMS), and ISO 9001.
• Chair incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Identify skills gaps and implement coaching, mentoring programs for team development
