A renowned mining company seeks to
recruit a suitably qualified Mining Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Plan and establish mining operations including developing and constructing new mines and manage existing mines;
2. Assessing the feasibility and the potential for commercial benefit of new sites;
3. Ascertaining the risks associated with new sites;
4. Producing models or plans for possible mining sites;
5. Planning and implementing extraction systems;
6. Managing the production of all minerals such as quarry, gold and other minerals and meeting set production targets;
7. Manage the maintenance and use of all plant & equipment;
8. Ensuring that operations comply with health and safety requirements; and
9. Managing budgets and training and supervising staff.

Qualifications & Attributes:

1. Degree in Mining Engineering or Equivalent
2. Knowledge in SHEQ Legal Requirements and the Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018) an added advantage;
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages;
4. At least 7 years’ experience in a similar position.
