Position: Mine manager
Location: Chegutu, Zimbabwe
We are a medium-sized mining company seeking an experienced and dynamic Mine Manager to lead and optimize our mining operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and profitable production while ensuring full compliance with Zimbabwean mining legislation.

Key Responsibilities

· Overall management of mining operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production
· Ensure compliance with the Mines and Minerals Act, environmental regulations, and company policies.
· Develop and implement mine plans, budgets, and production targets.
· Lead and manage mining, processing, engineering, and support teams.
· Implement and maintain effective health, safety, and environmental management systems.
· Monitor production performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
· Control operating costs and optimize resource utilization.
· Liaise with regulatory authorities, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
· Prepare and submit operational and management reports to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience

– Degree in Mining Engineering.
– Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (MMCC) – mandatory.
– Minimum 7–10 years mining experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
– Strong leadership, planning, and technical skills.
– Sound knowledge of Zimbabwean mining legislation.
