Trojan Mine is a division of Trojan Nickel Mine Limited, which is a 100% subsidiary of Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited. We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the positions of Mine Captains which have arisen in Our Mining department.
Reporting to the Underground Manager, the incumbents will have a key role in supporting the business through overseeing all the Trojan Mine underground mining functions, to ensure monthly production budgets are met in a safe, efficient and profitable manner.
Main Responsibilities
i. Implementing production plans and ensuring that monthly set targets arc met safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively
. ii. Maximising utilisation of mining equipment and all other resources tinder their supervision.
iii. Ensuring total compliance with mining law, SHEQ policies, and local mining standards.
iv. Determining continuous improvement opportunities through cost monitoring and analysis.
v. Providing adequate safety measures and interventions so as to eliminate accidents.
vi. Providing on the job training, coaching and mentorship to subordinates
Qualifications And Experience
i. Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Mining Engineering
ii. Full Blasting Licence
iii. Working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental systems.
iv. Diploma in Project Management is an added advantage v. At least 5 years of experience at Mine Captain position
