Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring equipment is working properly, safely and efficiently.
- Testing, calibrating, installing, repairing, ensuring good maintenance practice and inspecting manufacturing equipment and monitoring devices.
- Performing general maintenance on the equipment and related designs of the plant.
- Monitoring the performance of systems and ensuring instrumentation systems meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring the plant or machinery meets NSSA safety requirements at all times.
- Understand, interpret and implement quality requirements for machinery.
- Keep clean, updated records of maintenance breakdowns.
- Ability to mentor apprentices.
Requirements
- National Certificate in Millwright Work.
- Millwright Class 1 Journeyman Card.
- At least three years of post-apprenticeship experience in FMCG maintenance.
- PLC & VFD experience.
- Ability to communicate on all levels.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Report writing and analysis.
- Computer literacy.
- A clean Class 4 Driver’s License is an added advantage.
