b. MICROSCOPIST – GRADE 5 (2 POSTS)

1. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB SUMMARY

• Performs routine Tuberculosis (TB) and Malaria sample analysis.
• Prepares staining reagents for TB and Malaria Slides.
• Documents and records laboratory inventory.
• Orders laboratory consumables from Hospital.
• Complies with all safety health and environmental rules and regulations.

1. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• 5 ‘O’ level subjects including English language and Science.
• A Certificate in Microscopy or equivalent.

1. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar work environment.
