Our client based in Burundi is requiring a Metallurgist to assist the Plant Manager in Metallurgical projects development as well as monitoring all metallurgical processes against parameters.
The successful incumbent would also be expected to monitor and supervise the Laboratory with appropriate controls.
A BSc chemical Engineering / metallurgical Engineering background is sought with a minimum of 5 years extractive metallurgical experience.
Experience in gold mining green field project development would be an added advantage.
Potential candidates should have extensive experience in the operations and management of a CIP / CIL operation.
The Metallurgist should be a competent user of Microsoft Office software, particularly Word and Excel and other mining programmes.
Well-developed written and oral communication skills in English and/or French are necessary.
A hands-on approach and willingness to work as required to achieve set objectives is needed.
