JOB DESCRIPTION
Nhowe Mission Brian Lemons Memorial Hospital is a Churches of Christ facility based in Macheke, Murewa District Hospital is looking for a Medical Superintendent.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) Degrees or Equivalent
- Valid Current Practising License
- Minimum of two years post housemanship experience
- Prior management experience at the same level or management qualification will be an added advantage
- Adherence to Christian values
Reporting Relationship: Chairperson of the hospital Board of Trustees
Main Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership to the hospital
- Participate in Strategic Planning and develop Operational plans and strategies for the hospital
- Creating linkages and strategic partnerships
- Provide leadership in budgeting, financial management, asset management and human resource management,
- Managing clinical services and non-clinical support services.
- Ensuring clinical staff’s skills and competences are up to legal requirements and best practice, including performance appraisals and training.
- Performing clinical duties and providing support to primary healthcare centres in the local community the facility operates in.
- Planning and implementing community outreach programs.
- Participate in District and Provincial Health Activities
- Maintains communication with health professions councils to meet legal requirements.
