JOB DESCRIPTION
A local women’s rights organization is looking for suitable candidates to fill the following post.
Duties and responsibilities
- Producing and compiling organizational daily, weekly, and monthly alerts and other publications;
- Developing organization’s information system;
- Maintaining and Updating social media pages-Facebook, Twitter and Website;
- Participating meaningfully Institutional Proposal Development;
- Development and Implementation of Communications strategy;
- Implements and expand a new social media strategy to raise profile and market activities;
- Preparing departmental and project activities;
- Being the Information gathering and compiling focal person in outreach field trips;
- Facilitate workshops for project beneficiaries and stakeholders;
- Produce content for IEC materials, newsletter and online fliers;
- Preparing social media reports;
- Respond to media inquiries;
- Producing multimedia content from training programs (videos and photographs);
- Securing organizational multimedia content offline and online.
Qualifications and experience
- Degree in Journalism and Media Studies or English & Communications Studies or Information Science or any other relevant degree;
- Relevant work experience – at least 3-5 years;
- Experience in a fast paced Non-Governmental Organization;
- Experience working in communications;
- Excellent analytical & writing skills;
- Ability to plan, coordinate and facilitate events;
- Self-motivation and enthusiasm and ability to work under your own initiative.
