Duties & Responsibilities
• Carries out routine site monitoring inspections
• Works with Contractor and subcontractor employees on the project
• Attends test-run of plants’ equipment
• Imparts technical skills to apprentices, trainees and semi-skilled personnel.
• Inspects quality of Project Mechanical Installations
• Conducts routine inspections of mechanical installations.
• Carries out hazard identification and risk assessments for project critical activities
• Attends to equipment commissioning and test runs
• Generates reports and tracks non-conformances
Qualifications and Experience
• Recognised apprenticeship in relevant trade (Mechanical Engineering/Fitting&Turning, Boilermaking)
• National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
• Power generation experience is an added advantage
• 4 years post apprenticeship experience
