Job Summary

The position of a Marula Value Addition Plant Brewer has arisen within the National Biotechnology Authority, and we hereby invite applications from suitably qualified individuals. The Marula Value Addition Plant Brewer will be based at the Mwenezi Marula Value Addition Plant and will report to the Plant Manager.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Manage brewing operations at the Mwenezi Marula Value Addition plant.
  •Prepare weekly brewing schedules and produce weekly and monthly reports.
  •Maintain detailed, accurate records and inventory of raw materials, quality checks, and production schedules.
  •Supervise brewing staff and conduct regular performance reviews.
  •Ensure that proper samples of raw materials in addition to in- process and finished product is collected and analyzed appropriately to ensure a quality end product.
  •Ensure quantitative and qualitative parameters for products produced at the plant fall within operating and exception limits.
  •Timely resolve quality issues or elevate significant challenges to ensure no contaminated product is released to the market.
  •Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Plant Manager.

Qualifications And Experience

• Bsc Brewing & Distilling, Microbiology, Food science/technology or related.
  •Registration with the Institute of Brewing and Distilling is an added advantage.
  •Creativity and ability to develop quality protocols.
  •At least 3 years brewing experience.
  •Attention to detail.
  •Strong written and verbal communication skills.
