DanChurchAid Zimbabwe Recruitment: Market Linkages Coordinator Position Open in Harare Job Title: Market Linkages Coordinator Organization: DanChurchAid Zimbabwe Job Location: Harare, Zimbabwe Workstation: DCA Zimbabwe Implementation Districts Reporting to: Head of Program Contract: Fixed-term contract Closing Date: 07 July 2026, 17:00 The Market Linkages Coordinator will work under the Head of Program to strengthen relationships between private sector actors, government institutions, NGOs, community groups, farmers, transporters, and other value chain stakeholders. The role focuses on improving and rebuilding market systems affected by reduced economic activity and supporting inclusive market development in DCA implementation districts including Binga, Kariba, Hurungwe, Mbire, and other operational areas.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and strengthen relationships with market actors across agricultural and economic value chains
- Design and implement innovative market systems interventions that promote inclusiveness and resilience
- Support capacity building of farmers, producer groups, and partners in business, marketing, and financial skills
- Conduct market assessments, surveys, analysis, and evaluations to inform programming
- Coordinate market fairs and use digital platforms to enhance market access and linkages
- Identify and address bottlenecks in value chains and propose practical solutions
- Collect, document, and report lessons learned, success stories, and market insights
- Support data management and reporting across the project portfolio
- Provide technical guidance to implementing partners in collaboration with project teams
- Undertake frequent field travel across implementation districts
Requirements
- Degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Business Administration, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Development Studies, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage)
- At least 5 years’ experience in economic development, private sector engagement, consultancy, or NGO programming
- Strong understanding of market systems, value chain development, and financial inclusion
- Ability to train and support farmer groups in marketing, negotiation, and business management
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Ndebele and Shona is an advantage
