JOB PURPOSE The Managing Director will provide transformational, strategic and operational leadership to CMED. The successful candidate will drive CMED’s evolution into a modern, commercially viable, high-performing and innovative organisation, and position CMED as a one-stop centre for transport, plant and equipment services aligned to Zimbabwe’s National Development priorities.

  • Lead the execution of corporate strategy, business transformation, and diversification initiatives.
  • Ensure effective corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and institutional accountability.

Requirements

  • A relevant Masters degree such as MBA/MBL.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Transport Management, Business Administration or related field as an added advantage.
  • Membership of a recognized professional body.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience at senior executive management level.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex, multi-division organisations.
  • Strong knowledge of Zimbabwe’s public sector, governance systems and procurement frameworks.
