The University of Zimbabwe is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the following positions in the Human Capital Management Department:
POST : MANAGERS (4 Posts)
Reporting to the Registrar through the Deputy Registrar Human Capital Management, the Managers/Administration Officers will be responsible for operationalising the University’s human capital management policies, strategies, systems, processes and procedures in accordance with the institution’s transformational Strategic Objectives under the Heritagebased Education 5.0 Philosophy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
These will include:
⦁ Human capital management planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting
⦁ Administration of the recruitment, deployment and performance evaluation processes for various categories of University Staff
⦁ Implementation of the University’s Results/performance based Human Capital Management strategies
⦁ Management of compensation and benefits of University staff and employees
⦁ Industrial relations,
⦁ Operationalisation of the University’s talent management strategies and systems
⦁ Implementation of policies and strategies for staff development and training and staff welfare
⦁ Talent management
⦁ Compliance
⦁ Industrial relations
⦁ Workplace safety
⦁ Implementation of the University’s Health and Safety and Wellness programs
⦁ Producing quarterly and annual reports for the Human Capital Department.
⦁ Performing any other related duties and functions of the University as assigned by Registrar
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
The desired candidates should have:
i. An undergraduate Degree in Human Resources, a related Social Science Degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
ii. A Master’s Degree in a relevant field is a distinct advantage
iii. Experience in higher education environments is an added advantage
iv. Relevant administrative and professional experience working with diverse Human Capital in academia and beyond.

i. High level of professionalism, commitment to duty, organized and self-motivated to work under pressure:
ii. Have an in-depth understanding of Zimbabwe’s labour laws and industrial relations issues
iii. Have knowledge of the Zimbabwe’s higher education landscape in the context of Heritage-based Education 5.0;
iv. Be a team-leader, open-minded, self-motivated, reliable and efficient, with demonstrable leadership skills;
v. Sound knowledge of the Integrated Results Based Management (IRBM) system,
vi. Have good writing and oral communication skills:
