Key Responsibilities
- Manage the University transport fleet and logistics operations
- Plan, coordinate and monitor transport schedules and vehicle allocation
- Supervise drivers and transportation support staff
- Ensure compliance with road traffic regulations, safety standards and University policies
- Coordinate vehicle servicing, maintenance, licensing and insurance
- Prepare transport budgets and monitor fuel consumption and fleet performance
- Maintain procurement and distribution logistics for departmental operations
- Implement strategies to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness in transport operations
Requirements
- A Degree in Transport and Logistics Management of a related field
- A Master’s Degree in a relevant field
- A class one journeyman in motor mechanics
- At least five (5) years relevant post qualification experience
- Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills
- Knowledge of fleet management system and transport regulations
- Computer literacy and proficiency in transport regulations
- Computer literacy and proficiency in transport management software
- A clean class 2 driver’s license
