JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to Director – Printing and Business Development, the purpose of the job involves overseeing the setting up and operation of the packaging and finishing equipment in the printing press.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Production of the packaging plan and forwarding it to Senior Management
Implementation of the production plan
Adherence to quality control standards.
Provide quantities of material to be packaged.
Allocation of stock to be used in the packaging of examination papers.
Identify the correct packaging materials to be used in the QPs packaging.
Availing a machine maintenance schedule and budget.
Spoilage control during packaging
Maintaining re-order levels, advise on stock to be reordered
Advise on re-stock to be availed.
Ensure availability of the right skills for the right job.
Supervision of subordinates.
Identify training skills gaps and recommend the necessary training
Make recommendations on packaging system developments
Enforce expected performance objectives.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Degree in Production/Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing and Technical or equivalent
Certificate/Diploma in General Management
Journeyman class 1 advantageous
5 O Level subjects including Mathematics and English
2 A Level Subjects
Knowledge of Printing, Finishing & Packaging.
5 Years working experience in the same field
Management and supervising skills
Project management skills
Leadership and interpersonal skills
Problem solving skills
Knowledge of examination entries and product security
Ability to understand examination timetables and arranging deliveries based on the examination timetable
