The Manager, Business and Systems Analysis is responsible for leading and managing a team of Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Scrum Masters, and Technology Adoption Engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business process enhancements and business and system requirements.
  • Ensuring the development of accurate and detailed process models, system designs, and technical specifications.
  • Reviewing and recommending deliverables, including requirements documents, process flows, user stories, and test plans.
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Scrum Masters, and Technology Adoption Engineers.
  • Setting clear performance expectations, conducting performance reviews, and supporting professional development.
  • Managing team workload, allocating resources effectively, and prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines.
  • Ensuring adherence to industry best practices, organizational standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promoting and supporting Agile methodologies and the Scrum framework.
  • Guiding and coaching Scrum Masters in facilitating Scrum ceremonies and ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
  • Ensuring effective backlog management, sprint planning, and iterative development processes.
  • Driving continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of technology adoption strategies and plans.
  • Ensuring effective communication, training, and support for end-users during technology implementations.
  • Managing change management activities to minimize disruption and maximize user adoption.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors.
  • Providing regular updates to senior management on team activities, project progress, and key performance indicators.
  • Overseeing the identification, assessment, and mitigation of project risks.
  • Ensuring quality assurance processes are implemented.
  • Recommending solutions to improve business processes, enhance system functionality, and support organizational growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Professional certifications in business analysis such as CBAP or CCBA, Agile methodologies such as CSM, PSM or PMI-ACP, or project management such as PMP are highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 3-6 years of experience in IT, with at least 2-4 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Extensive experience in business analysis, systems analysis, software development lifecycle, and Agile methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and innovation.
