Duties And Responsibilities

The role – what we expect from you:

• Prepare supporting documents for the Bank’s management accounts.

• Initiate the preparation of monthly management accounts (Income statements & Balance sheets).

• Prepare divisional statistics.

• Contribute in the preparation of branch monthly statistics.

• Investigate exceptional or suspicious entries on Management accounts for branches and support service centers.

• Prepare monthly branch management accounts and for head office units.

• Conduct in-depth analysis of loss making branches report.

• Monitor budget performance and come up with recommendations to management.

• Contribute to the implementation of the transfer pricing model on a monthly basis.

• Check and monitor balancing of Trial Balances for branches and divisions.

• Prepare former Building Society monthly branch management accounts including head office units.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:

• Possess a relevant degree in Accounting, Finance or similar from a recognized tertiary institution.

• Should have a full professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CIS or similar.

• Have at least two years’ relevant working experience preferably acquired in a financial services or related environment.

• Should possess sound technical accounting knowledge.

• Have in depth understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and their operation.

• Should be able to relate at all levels and across functions.

• Willing to work under pressure and within strict deadlines.
