About the Role
We are seeking a Management Accountant to analyze key financial data and provide feedback for better planning and business growth. You will help the company grow and save money by finding smarter ways to work. Your work will make a real difference in helping the business run well and stay strong.
Main Duties
Reporting:
-
Prepare Management Accounts using IFRS and IAS rules
-
Create and manage budgets for the bank
-
Review and explain any differences between budget and real spending
-
Check the cost and results of different products, especially in retail banking
-
Review how the bank’s credit is working, help manage the loan book, and make sure it meets top standards
-
Prepare documents for the pricing committee
Compliance:
-
Prepare and send daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly RBZ returns
-
Send returns for the Deposit Protection Scheme
-
Handle Credit Insurance returns under bank policy
-
Help with Internal and External Audits
-
Support the Financial Accountant with tax returns (QPD, PAYE, NSSA, ZIMDEF)
Finance and Administration:
-
Make sure digital channel records and real numbers match
-
Work with the digital team to fix any issues quickly
-
Help keep track of assets and follow finance rules
-
Support with general ledger checks
-
Reconcile Zimswitch and RTGS accounts
What You Need
-
Degree in Accounting, Business Finance, or a similar subject
-
CIMA qualification is an advantage
-
At least 3 years working as a Management Accountant
-
Knows statutory returns (VAT, QPDs, Withholding Tax, PAYE)
-
Strong organization and deadline skills
-
Good with numbers, spreadsheets, and accounting software

Great at writing and speaking clearly
-
Must pay close attention to detail
