Reporting to: Project Coordinator

1. Objective of the Position
Planning, coordinating and monitoring all logistics and supply chain related activities and providing support to medical assistance activities, according to MSF protocols and standards in order to ensure an optimal running of the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Logistics and Supply Manager will oversee project logistics operations and supervise the logistics and supply team.
  • Ensuring and monitoring the implementation of logistics/technical activities in the project.
  • Responsible for overall project supply chain management, including procurement, warehousing and distribution of goods and services, as well as coordinating supply responses in emergency situations and performing related duties.
  • Planning, coordinating, and monitoring all supply chain related activities according to MSF protocols, standards and policies, in order to optimize the project response to the needs of the target population and ensure an optimal running of the project activities.
  • Assisting the Project Coordinator or Logistics Coordinator in the definition and follow-up of logistics activities in the project, in conjunction with other medical project managers.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Transport and Logistics Management, or a related field from a recognized institution is required.
  • Computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Advanced Excel skills are desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of logistics management tools and hands-on experience with Unifield supply chain management software is required.
  • University Degree (bachelor’s level) in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2 (two) years of proven experience in Logistics, Transport and Supply Chain Management with MSF or other NGOs, INGOs.
  • At least 2 (two) years international working experience in developing countries.
  • Experience in emergency or humanitarian logistics operations.
  • Technical skills – fleet management, energy systems, construction and rehabilitation, telecommunication and watsan.
  • Team-oriented with high professional integrity and respect for confidentiality.
