SOS Children’s Villages Association of Zimbabwe is a member of SOS International – a worldwide children’s social welfare organisation, providing vulnerable children without homes children with a family and educational opportunities as well strengthening families to reduce poverty

SOS Children’s Villages Zimbabwe has established Community Outreach Programmes near its three Villages around the country. The Programme aims to assist and support children in difficult circumstances, in particular, families headed by a child, a grandparent or by a single parent who is terminally ill. The Organisation works as a development partner with communities and the local authorities.

We seek a vibrant and results oriented individual to take up this position in the Organization. The successful candidate will report directly to the Location Accountant.

Responsibilities, Duties and TasksMaintains the financial health of the organization; Provides summary reports of the business transactions to facilitate preparation of Financial Statements; Provides and keeps necessary financial documents; Ensures accurate and complete records of business financial transactions; Facilitates and answers queries in times of audit by internal and external auditors; Facilitates submission of procurement documents to procurement office and distributes proof of payments to respective facilities; Processes payments and banking timeously; Ensures updates of inventory and assets registers; Ensures compliance with systems of internal control in all facilities in the location; Reviews and supervises all facility payments in the location; Trains and Supervises students on attachment in the department.

Qualifications and ExperienceA Diploma / Studying towards Accounting Diploma / Degree; At least 3 years’ experience in accounting field; Be committed to the mission, vision and values of SOS Children Villages Zimbabwe; Have excellent report writing skills and be able to operate in a highly confidential environment; Strong analytical skills and a good team player
