Job Summary
We are looking for a vibrant and dynamic individual to fill the above position.
Reporting to the Livestock Technology-SBU Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that the Livestock Technology Department’s revenue targets are achieved. He/She will also be responsible for coordinating the activities and performance of the Livestock Technology Team by tracking revenue goals, setting individual targets, and facilitating continuous training of subordinates.
Duties And Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
The incumbent’s key responsibilities shall include but not limited to: –
• Development and Implementation of robust Livestock Technology Strategies that will ensure sustainable growth of the Department’s Revenues.
• Working with livestock teams to develop specific plans to create and maintain competitive advantage within the livestock value chain to grow customer numbers to meet the financial targets and associated KPIs.
• Coordinating implementation of various approved livestock programs.
• Profit and loss responsibility for the various Projects.
• Value preservation.
• Risk management.
• Ensuring compliance with the necessary livestock regulatory requirements.
• Coordinating business development for the various Livestock Projects to identify new opportunities and grow the business.
• Expenditure management for the various Livestock Projects.
• Developing long-lasting relationships with customers.
• Tracking, analysing and communicating key business trends which relate to various Livestock Programs.
• Negotiating, executing and management of Account Agreements and Contracts.
• Ensuring human and financial resources are mobilized and well-coordinated to enable smooth running of the Livestock Projects.
• Completing assignments as requested for the SBU and other stakeholders.
• Reviewing staffing requirements for the SBU.
• Supervising and Performance Management of all subordinates under the SBU.
• Preparation and submission of Weekly, Monthly and Annual Energy and Power Revenue Generation Progress Reports.
• Completing assignments as requested for by Supervisor.
Qualifications And Experience
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science/Livestock or a related field.
• Master’s Degree in Marketing/Business Administration/Strategic Management.
• At least three (3) years hands-on experience in poultry, swine or cattle production, a must.
