An expanding integrated agribusiness is seeking to employ a Livestock Technical Officer.

Duties And Responsibilities

Job Description
• Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction across the whole value chain from primary production to distribution.
• Develop and manage business development issues in line with the business plan in partnership with development partners.

• Identify and develop markets for all the business products including conducting market analysis

• Support the Technical Manager in all programmes including focusing on the goat production business unit particularly for development partners
• Plan and implement all visibility initiatives, Expos, Marketing campaigns to acquire new customers, drawing, up and implementing social media, conduct customer satisfaction surveys.
• Manage and attend to customer queries, complaints timeously to the satisfaction of the business and all stakeholders.

• Training of farmers on commercial production of all livestock periodically
• Manage all livestock purchases, sales and marketing and giving technical support to major customers of livestock.
• Develop and manage the stud breeding records in accordance with ZHB standards.
• Encouraging communities to engage in goat commercial production through the provision of technical, organisational and marketing skills.
• Manage all advertisement platforms facebook, twitter, instagram and company website.
• Conduct training, motivate staff and do staff performance reviews periodically.

Qualifications And Experience

• Relevant Experience –
• Min 3 years a must
• Degree/Diploma in Animal Science from a recognised university with high ICT literacy
• Experience in business development is and added advantage
• Strong written and verbal skills with ability to produce technical and business reports
• People management a must
• Class 4 drivers’ licence
• Ambitious, energetic and be receptive to learning new technologies to help improve productivity and profitability, exceptional team leader with a flexible attitude and sound work ethic.
