A local organisation seeks the services of a Livelihoods Assistant to implement and monitor livelihoods and economically viable projects in its livelihoods center.
JOB TITLE: LIVELIHOODS ASSISTANT
Major Responsibilities
1. Plan and formulate production strategy for Livelihoods projects.
2. Plan and implementation of weekly and monthly production schedule.
3. Effective management of project costs to ensure profitability
4. Market livelihoods produce;
5. Maintain and monitor the quality of yields, whether livestock or crops;
6. Ensure safekeeping of project assets, input and produce and ensure there are controls in place to minimize cases of theft/misappropriation of resources
7. Perform regular physical counts of horticultural and livelihoods products
8. Prepare analysis reports for each product once every month
9. Maintain reconciliations for use of inputs
10. Account for project losses
Desired Qualifications, skills and experience
• Diploma in Agriculture
• At least 2 years hands on experience in crop and livestock production.
• Experience in poultry production, fish production and horticulture
• Good communication skills
